The WHY question?
Many times people are struggling with a problem, whether physical or financial or mental and they start asking or wondering WHY. “Why is this happening, why me, what is wrong with me, etc?”
That is exactly the wrong question to ask when striving to find spiritual healing. God is the only Cause there is. In prayer we are striving to lift thought above the problem and to see what God is causing, which is always good. This is something we begin to see through our spiritual sense.
It is the material senses that are telling us something is wrong or bad. So in prayer what we are doing is turning away from the material sense evidence to see what God is doing, to see the harmony of the situation as God sees it. Jesus did this.
As Paul tells us in the Bible, “. . . look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
(II Cor 4:18)
The WHY question takes us right back to the problem, makes it very real and something created by the only creator, God, and consequently nullifies any prayer we’ve been doing.
Keeping our eye single to the light of truth that God is causing only good for us, and trusting that spiritual law to adjust anything that seems out of whack will bring the desired healing.
It’s a relief to find somoene who can explain things so well
